Lots of lovely moments as we defied gravity and headed in search of planets.
One boy said we should definitely travel in a space shuttle and not an aeroplane as 'do you know it looks just like an aeroplane but it travels into space and you come back in a pod.' So that's what we did! We fell to earth with a bang and met an Ofsted inspector.. 'Who is that?!' one of the children asked. 'A special visitor.' I replied. 'Is she the Queen?' A boy asked. Hmmm.. how should I reply?! 'Go and ask her.' 'When I've finished my work I will.' He forgot. We talked about what would happen if the sun fell out of the sky and the children thought hard. 'I think we would have to start all over again. There would be a Big Bang and the earth would be hot and the rain would come, then the dinosaurs would come and go and my mummy and daddy would have to make me all over again.' Sweet. :-) Then the children got messy making their own papier-mâché planets. You can see them below in orbit! Glue, newspapers, balloons and fun! Happy half term to one and all! Comments are closed.
